“A Child Is Waiting” and “I Could Go On Singing” coming to Blu-ray

Finally, more Judy Garland on Blu-ray!

Both A Child Is Waiting and “I Could Go On Singing” are scheduled for release on Blu-ray.

This is great news!  The last new Judy Garland Blu-ray release was Easter Parade on February 19, 2013.  (The Wizard of Oz was released in another boxed set on October 1, 2013, but that was a another reissue with the new 3D version thrown in).

Kino Video is set to release A Child Is Waiting on both standard DVD and Blu-ray on November 24th.  The film is getting a new HD transfer and the discs will include an audio commentary by Tom Charity, author of “John Cassavetes: Lifeworks.”

Twilight Time is set to release a Blu-ray of I Could Go On Singing in 2016.  No other details have been released as yet, but stayed tuned!
