April is Ziegfeld Month! Well, it was in 1941 and 1946. Both Ziegfeld Girl and Ziegfeld Follies of 1946 were in general release in the month April, the former on April 25, 1941, and the latter in late 1945 and early 1946. Ziegfeld Follies of 1946 premiered in August 1945 but was then held from release until 1946 due to cuts and the shuffling of numbers required for the revue format of the film to run smoothly.
