Well, 2020 wasn’t exactly a banner year.  It’s a year that I think we can all agree is one year that we won’t miss.  In spite of that, there were still some highlights for Garland fans.  Enjoy this review and let’s hope that 2021 turns out to be fantastic!

  1. Hello! I have an original Program for “A Star Is Born” in super condition! I’d like to sell! It’s been in my family since My Mother went to the Premier!

  2. Thanks so much Scott!! What I found curious was that while “Strike up the Band” and “The Harvey Girls” look great on Blu Ray, they aren’t quite as stunning as “Girl Crazy” or “The Pirate.” This is probably because the former were in very good shape, so the upgrade isn’t quite as startling. But, my God, “The Pirate” is astonishing in HD. It’s not in my personal top ten, yet I’ve fallen in live with film all over again, having watched it five times since it’s arrival to my home in early January. We are so lucky to live in this day and age!!

    1. “The Pirate” has always been a fave of mine but I never thought we’d ever see a proper HD remastering. It’s simply dazzling!
