Coming November 5, 2024, The Wizard of Oz 85th anniversary steel-case set.
This 85th-anniversary edition of the film offers nothing new, including the printed extras available in previous releases. That doesn’t mean it’s not worth buying, especially if you don’t already have the film on 4K disc or don’t have the previous releases that include the extras offered here.
The cover art is the same as the 2005 3-disc DVD set, although the logo differs. The focus on the Wicked Witch of the West is most likely to unofficially tie the release to the premiere of the film version of the hit Broadway show “Wicked” on November 22, 2024.
