Warner Home Video will re-release Easter Parade on a single disc DVD, February 8, 2011. This single disc edition will not include any of the extras that the 2005 two-disc edition contained, except for the audio commentary and the “Judy Garland Trailer Gallery.”
The packaging will be the standard clamshell packaging (see above). The retail price will be a very affordable $14.96.
No word on whether there will be a Blu-ray release as well. Due to this being a single disc, low priced release it looks as though it’s one of their budget DVDs. Probably meant to capitalize on the upcoming Easter holiday.
If you don’t have the film in your DVD library yet, now’s your chance. The film looks wonderful, having been given the full “Ultra Resolution” restoration treatment.
