From the press release:
COMING TO BLU-RAY FROM THE WARNER ARCHIVE COLLECTION ON NOVEMBER 24th!
NEW 1080p HD MASTER FROM 4K SCAN FROM NITRATE PROTECTION ELEMENTS!
Cast: Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Charles Winninger, June Preisser, Douglas MacPhail
A young and captivating Judy Garland, and that bundle of energy Mickey Rooney (who was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar®) are the sweethearts in Babes in Arms. This swing time song-and-dance hit, based on the Broadway smash by Rodgers and Hart, also received an Oscar® nomination for its score. Rooney plays Mickey Moran, the multi-talented son of a famous vaudeville team. When his parents – and others in the community – hit the financial skids, he rounds up all the neighborhood stage kids and puts on a lavish show to raise money. The future looks bright until a sudden hurricane literally washes the whole enterprise away on opening night! What follows is a turn of events leading to a smashing finale that would set the stage for future Rooney/Garland ‘backstage musicals’ (most directed by Busby Berkeley) which would propel the stars’ careers and forever entrench them in the hearts of film fans for generations. The film is also notable for being the first M-G-M musical fully produced by the legendary Arthur Freed.

Another release!!!
I cannot believe all these releases!! Wonderful! I knew this would be held off for many years due to the (disgusting) blackface stuff. Aside from this, it’s a fun film. Hope “Babes on Broadway” is next!
So excited we are getting this wonderful film on Blue-ray. Judy is so young and energetic with that great amazing voice!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆
