Here’s a chance to have a unique piece of Hollywood history. The “Wardrobe Continuity” script from Meet Me in St. Louis. The script includes reference photos and tons of great notes. Light blue cover reading in part “Wardrobe Breakdown / Submitted By: / Al Jennings / 11-9-43;” with 36 mimeographed pages heavily annotated in pencil outlining specifics about each female and child character’s clothing; of particular interest are the numerous trimmed photographs of the cast members in costume taped throughout script; 14 are of Garland as “Esther Smith” in various ensembles and approximately 60 more show co-stars Marjorie Main, Mary Astor, and Margaret O’Brien, among other child and female extras.
