Michelle Russell, author of “From Tennessee to Oz – The Amazing Saga of Judy Garland’s Family History” has notified me that the anticipated Volume Two will likely be delayed.

From Michelle:

Due to the extra expense for Part Two of From Tennessee to Oz(a lot of expense has gone into research among other things) and the small amount of advance sales, plus the fact that I lost my job last week, the book may have to be delayed another year. There are simply not enough funds at this this time to cover the cost of interior design and other things needed in order to see it to publication. To give it one last try for this year, I’m opening up advance sales for purchase of Part 2 alone at the advance sale price. (Later the price wil go up because the book will be approximately 400 pages with 100 photos and costs more to produce.) I’m hoping for at least 25-30 sales to help push it over the edge. If we don’t make it, the copies will be printed for those who have already paid and we’ll wait until we can afford to put it out. As it is, there needs to be a 5-6 month lead on press copies in order to get reviewed. I think this is going to be a great and surprising book to all Garland fans who thought they knew the full story, but, of course, I’m prejudiced.  Best wishes.
To purchase advance copies, please go to http://www.michellerussellauthor.com and go to the “special” link. This deal will hold thru March 5th at which time the decision will be made. At that point the book will also be ready for printing.

Please be sure to help out Michelle and pre-order your copy ASAP!
